New Marcus Miller Sire basses - not too far away now

According to FB, pre orders for the new models in May, for June delivery - to US customers mind.

Presumably won't be long after they'll be available from Thomann.

I've heard mostly good things about these Sire basses and Marcus seems really passionate about them. I do wonder what is going on behind the scenes with Fender's endorsee relations. I can understand that they might not have fancied keeping Stuart Hamm's Urge bass in the lineup, but the MM signature jazz bass seemed like a big seller and it was, after all, just a modified jazz.

I have a V7, very tempted by the V9. Hopefully they've addressed the string-through issue.

I really hope they bring out a 5 string with a maple board. These look very interesting. I would love the new Fender Pro P5 but the price is just crazy for a bass I would like to have, "just because". Fingers crossed.

Starting to appear on Thomann....... but not in stock yet. Prices have gone up £150+ on the V7 price when I got one....

Easily rectified with a detail sander. Not unlike Harldley Bentmans and I reshaped one of those in about 15mins and it looked good.

Big improvement over the fender growth headstock, the colors matching better than the natural. Still, there's room for improvement. I like the m7 headstock, it's a direct copy of MTD.
