NickD
Anyone here have one? Totally sorted for fretted basses and I do have a deko fretless acoustic, but I think in my current band it's time for a proper 'toe in the water' into the world of mwah. I know a few here bought fretted deko versions, but I'd be interested to hear about playability and how the side markings are arranged. I don't expect it to be great, but at £125 how bad can it be? Cheers!
DarkHeart
for an extra £8 the JB40 has had excellent reviews, I would look at that model first, check out Cory Mura`s youtube channel for a review
NickD
I do much prefer a more traditional bass but that's a string short and there appears to be no fretless 5.
miles'tone
I bought the deko version and it's bloody ace. Nothing wrong with it, came perfectly set up with the nut slots cut just right. I have D'addario tapes on it and it's so effortless to play. The side markers are dots on the usual notes, 3,5,7,etc, but are bang on the note where you actually have to play the note. Not in-between like on a Fretted. It weighs 8lbs on the nose and balances perfectly on the strap. Tuners hold tune.. Highly recommended! NickD
Great, thanks! That's just what I wanted to hear. I reckon I'll give it a go, it's not much of a risk at that kind of cost.
miles'tone
Defo worth it even at full price. They do tend to have an audible click between active and passive but I only run it passive with no battery and pull for a kill switch. The preamp is good btw, I just personally don't need that much choice of tone. There's plenty going on in passive mode already YMMV.
Bigjas
I bought one of these a while ago, it's great for the money. I put a set of Ernie Ball flats on it and it plays very well. It gets gigged most weekends, only for one song in the set list, and sounds great. All in all a superb Bass for the money Jas

NickD
Thanks chaps! Could I trouble anyone for string spacing at the bridge, and do they ship with roundwounds? I Will need to order flats separately if that's the case.
miles'tone
I don't have it to hand but I'm sure it's 18mm. Yes they come with rounds.
