Fender US Precision * SOLD *

Hi all, I recently featured this bass in gear porn (link below) but decided to get a (nearly) new P bass and so did a trade with Nick (aka OldHorseMurphy) - his lovely 3TS 2008 P-bass for my Rick 4003MG/BT. This means I am moving on the 2002 Precision.

The bass itself has a lovely woodgrain (shows in the photos) and is a 2-tone sunburst (ie, it lacks the red part of the 3-tone sunburst). Since the photos were taken I have made two mods:

1. I have put back on the original Fender black pickup (ie, removed the cream Dimarzio).

2. I have swapped pickguards with my new 2008 P-bass as I really like the reddish-brown celluloid tortoiseshell guard (made by WD). This means the bass for sale now has a 2008 Fender tortoiseshell pickguard, which is browner in colour. Here is a link to show the pickguard in situ on a new P-bass http://www.hartnollguitars.co.uk/large-ima...ry=Bass-Guitars In fact, if you imagine the bass in this picture without the reddish tint in the sunburst, this is what my for-sale bass looks like.

In terms of condition, it is generally in good nick for a 6-year old bass. There are a couple of tiny dings on the edges of the horns (c.1mm) and a scrape on the bottom edge. From front on, none of these are visible and so it looks in fantastic nick, as you can see from the photos. Comes with Fender hard case.

£450 + postage sounds about right to me

Cheers Clarky
