A lovely, Japanese made Yamaha. Top of the RBX range at the time of production.
Dates from the early 90's I believe

Good condition given the age, a few scrapes and scars as shown in the photographs.
Plays and sounds great but I'm having a clear out.

Ash body, Neck is a deep 6 bolt Bolt-on, Satin Finish, Maple neck, Rosewood Board with 24 frets

Yamaha say:
"Deep Joint bolt-on neck offers extra strength with three six-millimeter plates solidly anchored by six bolts. The resulting interface between the neck and body is ideal, affording pure, long sustain and outstanding dynamic response
The RBX1000 includes a custom voiced active electronics system with 2-band boost or cut EQ, pickup pan control and master volume."

The nut is 40mm.

Now there is a blast from the past. I had one of these in the '90s and it was my first 'proper' bass. Served me really well and if I remember correctly really light. It was really versatile but I moved on to 5 strings. But it was a great bass.

Have a bump for a rare beast.
