String storage

I have quite a few sets of used strings and I could do with something better to store them in than the old packaging, any ideas?

Tupperware or washed out ice cream box.

I keep the old packaging too, so I know what they are and what gauge.

Chuck a packet of desiccant silica gel in with them if you have any (assuming you haven't already thrown it away or eaten it!).

I have built up a stash of new strings bought off fellow bassists cheap, still in original packaging. I store each pack in a zip lock bag where I suck the air out.

I have a vacuum sealer for food, might put them in those bags for even longer life, assuming air is what will corrode them
