Fretless:: Lined or Naked?

I used to have an unlined fretless. Loved playing it. My current fretless is lined but that's because it's a defret. Love playing it.
Looks-wise it's unlined every time. Playing-wise, there's not much to choose between them. I like that Ibanez/Wal/FBass solution.

I had my fretless neck made with black lines, against pao ferro looks Plain from a distance, yet is nice for reference, especially when recording. I have Luminlay side markers on that too.
