jimbartlett Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 (edited) I'm reluctantly selling my Limelight MMP Bass as I need the funds. It is a P bodied bass with a MM pick up and a left-handed J width neck, set up to be played as a regular right-handed bass. This neck is beautiful to play and smooth as silk currently set with a low action and Fender flatwound strings. It comes with a Gear4Music hard foam gigbag. Spec: Gotah vintage L/H tuners Aged Nitro-cellulose finished neck with Tusq nut, clay dots and hand rolled fingerboard edges Alder body finished in nitro-cellulose Black. Quality vintage bridge CTS pots and Sprague cap Vintage wired MM type Pick up Switchcraft jack Here is the link to the bass on the Limelight website: http://classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/portfolio/limelight-custom-00161/ I'm not after any trades I'm afraid. Location is Dartford in Kent but I can post this in the UK, no problem. Thanks Jim Edited April 17, 2017 by jimbartlett
ikay Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Nice. I'd be interested to hear how this sounds with the MM pickup in the P position, can you post some sound clips?
jimbartlett Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 I'll try and get some up tomorrow night or failing that, Thursday. I can only do an iPhone recording unfortunately though so hopefully it'll come out ok.
Byo Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Lovely bass Jim! I happen to have serial #0162 and live very close by (Welling)... funny. Just wish I had the funds to re-unite these two family members! GLWTS!
jimbartlett Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 I've done my best to make a video. This was recorded on my iPhone as I do not have any recording equipment. https://youtu.be/dxOu86jv_Ro

Not quite a Stingray and not quite a P bass. Have a bump.

Thanks for doing that. Edited April 19, 2017 by ikay
lee650 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Wow! A great idea,is the MM pickup wired series or parallel? I would say series by the tone😁 I'm not sure of the wonky headstock, but it does look/sound great
jimbartlett Posted April 23, 2017 Author Posted April 23, 2017 The headstock isn't wonky, it's a left handed neck upside down.
