I haven't heard Steppin' in a long while. Some serious groove from bass and drums across the whole album.

Another one bites the dust..... Queen

The Hot Space album is a shift towards disco pop. Apparently, Brian May hated it.

Not quite sure if this fits the OP, some more band's 'disco' tunes -

Floyd - Another brick in the wall
ELO - Last train to London / Shine a little love
Pulp - Disco 2000
Abba - Gimme gimme gimme...
Daft Punk - Get lucky

The whole album is pretty disco. I wonder if it was originally intended to be titled 'Very Disco' and they turned it round to read 'Discovery' ?

When I first started visiting 'The Disco' (early 70's), 'Put it Where You Want It' was being played a lot. So maybe that counts as their first one ? Possibly?

Although, being pedantic, Another One Bites The Dust was on 'The Game' album released two years before 'Hot Space' 😀

Continuing the disco theme, I also loved Murder On The Dancefloor (Sophie Ellis Bexter with a great bass line from Guy Pratt) 😀

I loved this back in 79, had no idea what genre they were from. Might even have this on 7" somewhere.
