I have no idea as to the market value of this. So I suppose it is best suited to a trade only, preferably a maple fingerboard precision.

Any thoughts? I would not recommend this as a versatile "one bass fits all" solution. Cos it's not. It's a one trick pony. Like an EB0 it does old school vintage only. However, that might be just your thang. Need a Precision ASAP so now for cash sale. Will pack well for delivery if you sort parcelforce. I will include padded gigbag. A beautiful investment piece, but I need a Fender P.

I have contacted John La Voi, he states that he made the bass in 1970s/ 80s. It is real Brazilian Mahogany with an ebony fingerboard.

The scale is 34 inches. The string spacing is fully adjustable via the bridge. The controls are one volume for each pick-up. A tone pot, and the neck pick-up volume pot has a pull out coil tap. Nut 40mm. Will post, but would recommend personal inspection due to uniqueness / Quirkyness. Sounds quite dark to me but this is my first and only dalliance with fretless so I can't really compare it with anything else. All the hardware and the primary pickup are manufactured by Schaller. Not sure about the bridge pickup.

This is definitely a very well made instrument, with a distinctive boutique look and a rarity value too and, if I were a more experienced fretless player, I'd be very interested..

My thoughts are that the Brazilian mahogany body/ebony fretboard combination have a bit of a Wal like quality to them and with the addition of an acg filter preamp, this could be a very good way to emulate that famous Wal fretless tone on a fraction of the budget.

Could be completely wrong of course, but there's a lot of potential with a bass of this quality IMHO.
