sorhe Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 (edited) Price now £2800 or 3200 € Shipping inluded in EU area Handbuilt bass from one of the world's most respected luthier, Michael Tobias. Easy to play, low action. Fat lows, versatile mids, crispy highs. The EQ is very useable, you can scroll out any tune you wish. Makore body and maple neck. These woods are listed on the luthier's web pages as one of their popular combinations. Makore is described as "has similar properties to mahogany, however it has more sparkle and presence. ". This bass comes with nice options: beautiful Red narra top, Birds eye maple fingerboard, matching headstock with world logo, matching wooden knobs and Luminlay dot side markers. 35" scale, 19 mm string spacing, 24 frets. The price for a similar new instrument would be about £5000. Condition almost as new. Only one 2 mm ding on the top side of the body (back side, not visible from front side), and little wear on the cover of the control cavity. That's all. For a trade, I may consider a high quality 5 string bass with 34" scale and dual coil pickups, such as Fodera, Elrick or F bass (plus cash from either side). Reasonable price offers also considered. I can include the original black tuners and bridge if needed (which are worth more than £350 if bought new). Also included a new non original hard case. Bass is located in Finland, and can be shipped inside EU.
