scoot
I want to fit these EB Cobalt flats on my bass, but on the B string, the silk windings are preventing the string from being pulled through the bridge. If I shave the windings down with a razor blade, are there likely to be any negative effects? Thanks in advance [attachment=243632:IMG_20170422_103145331.jpg] Old vs new ⬇︎ [attachment=243631:IMG_20170422_103246573.jpg] Edited April 22, 2017 by scoot

scoot
I managed to unravel it with my fingernails until it was small enough to fit through. Had a play for an hour or so and its fine. Job done!
