machinehead
So it Is! Interesting! Although.. it doesn't seem to have a matching 3xtension cab.... argh!!
Couldn't you buy two 3110 combos and use the line out to the second one when needed? It would give you a spare amp too. Al Krow
Hmmm...as much as I value my little Promethean 3110 for its portability and power, not sure that getting TWO of them would be the best use of just shy £700? I'd be much more tempted to get a decent £700 combo and just turn the volume down at home! There is a lot more subtlety and tone out there from other amps that will leave my little Promethean 3110 in the dirt. It's a great practice amp for home and band rehearsal, because of its pint sized punch and I love it to bits for these uses, but I would never look to use it for live gigs if I can possibly avoid. For a lot less than two Promethean 3110s or even for less than a Promethean 3110 plus extension cab, you could pick up e.g. a Fender Rumble 500 with a 2x10 speakers which has had a lot of positive feedback on this forum. That is not too heavy, it's powerful, not too bulky, would be fine for practice and gigs. Definitely a step up IMHO. And, as we know, that is just one of many really good combos out there... sk8
AER Amp One. Throws out a huge amount of volume belying its size; enough for a pub gig
itsmedunc
AER Amp One. Throws out a huge amount of volume belying its size; enough for a pub gig
Nearly mentioned that one but I don't think they have a speaker out? They have a line out I think. Besides that, I've never known anyone with an Amp One that needed an extension! Edited April 26, 2017 by itsmedunc

It's so very loud and clear. Possibly the best all-round combo there is. Only possibly though. Frank.
Al Krow
Yup, indeed! If money is no object then an AER 1x10 could definitely fit the bill, but the OP has indicated he is looking for something sub £1,000 which kinda rules out the AER (and Mesa Walkabout Scout) options? acidbass
I have an Ibanez Promethean P5110c 1x10 combo, with a matching P110c extension can. Superb rig for its size, 500w at 4ohms but I believe both items have been discontinued

It's nucking futs the amount of sound it can put out.
