ricksterphil
Jus played an open mic gig where the bass rig was a vintage Ampeg SVT 200 driving an Ampeg 8x10 Just pure unadulterated bass groove joy. Trouble is they weigh a ton.....but still!!!

Cat Burrito
Big Ampeg fan here too. I have 2 cabs to ease the weight but at the last 2 festivals I have had an Ampeg SVT 8x10 backline supplied.

paul_5
I'm loving mine. Admittedly it's a 'baby' ampeg - SVT-IIP preamp into a solid state power amp and Barefaced cab, but my back will thank me in 10 years time.
2elliot
The SVT200 is an excellent solid state head. From what I understand it was only made for a short time, then replaced by possibly the SVT350... not as good. I was looking for one for quite some time, still haven't bought one but it's definitely still on my list. Simon Gallup still uses 2 of these heads with The Cure, that's some lifespan for a amp that built in the late 80s early 90s.
