sellisnba
I've just picked up a ashdown five fifteen mini rig and expected it to be fairly loud certainly louder than it is. I plugged it in, set the eq flat both volume and gain at around 12 o clock, played a few notes and was immediately disappointed at the low volume, I've turned up both the volume and gain all the way and still it's really not loud at all, the little input meter never really goes very high. Can anyone offer any advise? I tried different cables but it didn't make a difference.
MoonBassAlpha
Sounds like you're not driving the input hard enough. You should be able to get the meter into the red with most basses. Is there an input pad (active/passive button)?
sellisnba
I think the amp is fooked, switched it on and it crackled and died. It won't even power up now. 😡

FinnDave
Try emailing Ashdown, they are usually very helpful and reply very quickly. But as you say you've just picked the amp up, I'd be inclined to take it back to wherever it came from.
