This is by far the best Phil Jones combo. Very light, very powerful. Clean and punchy tone. Six 5" neo speakers, 250 watts RMS. It sounds great with any band and instrument. Especially nice for fretless bass, double bass, even guitar (if you turn the treble down), clear and precise.

Acquired a BG 150 ( flightcase ) earlier this year. Excellent, especially with double bass .. but a bit lacking in air shifting ability. Now thinking of a pb300 to boost it up.

The bg300 ( super flightcase) may well be the pjb sweet spot.

BG 400 also very good .. if you don't mind the weight.

Yes, indeed. I found that the Neo speaker in the BG300 make a big difference though. They sound much clearer than the ones used in the BG400.
