hamfist
For those who are not psychic, that is New pickup and scratchplate day. Both my basses are (were) PJs so I decided to mix one up a bit. A bit of routing, a new J neck pickup and general Dremelling later I have a Jazz bass in a P body ! I'm loving the blue perloid scratchplate. Oh, and it sounds rather good too.! I'm not a fan of the Jazz body shape or size so this is the perfect way to get the J sounds with a body shape that suits me. BTW, As far as I can tell, you cannot buy a P scratchplate with a J pickup hole anywhere, so it has to be DIY.
