Mikkel-S Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 (edited) I just bought this beauty but I can already say this awesome bass is not my style. I have always wanted an Alembic but never really tried one - very interesting concept with their electronics (filter pre's etc) and their out of this world good craftmanship. However I now know that I really prefer the Fender/Musicman type of instruments. So this one is for trade with a nice Jazz Bass, Precision Bass or maybe another interesting 4-string. Alembic Rogue 4 with spalted maple top and mahogany body. Maple neck and thick ebony fretboard. Alembic filter preamp and Alembic pickups. All original. Used but in good shape! Everything works as it should and the bass is healthy and sound. Bass is located in Denmark and I will ship via UPS. 1850£ Edited June 5, 2017 by Mikkel-S
rednose200 Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Lovely. This one has the beautiful brass covers on the back too, instead of the cheaper plastic ones, as well as an usual top wood over mahogany and Purple Heart. Not expensive for what it is. These really growl. GLWTS.
4000 Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 When I had my Alembic built I opted for plastic covers simply because those brass ones are heavy and I wanted to cut as much weight as possible. Mine was a Triple Omega though, so bigger-bodied than a Rogue. What's the weight please and does it have its case?
Mikkel-S Posted May 19, 2017 Author Posted May 19, 2017 Its "light"! 4176gr on my kitchen scale. No original case but I will ship in a generic hard shell case.
Mikkel-S Posted May 21, 2017 Author Posted May 21, 2017 Cheers. Feel free to try me with cash offers. I might say yes!
Mikkel-S Posted May 28, 2017 Author Posted May 28, 2017 I have my eye on something - so today only 1650£!
rednose200 Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Man that is real cheap for this quality bass. Too good to give away at this price mate.
three Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Quite a bargain - this sits just below the Europa in the Alembic price list and isn't far from the Sig prices - I'm very surprised that this is still here. I suspect that it balances brilliantly well too.
BaconCheese Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 (edited) It is a very good bass. Very light too. I owned an Alembic with the Series electronics and the Rogue is not far off. Edited May 29, 2017 by BaconCheese
Mikkel-S Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 Cheers guys. Its an exceptional bass at a crazy price.
rednose200 Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 'Three' these balance perfectly. I'd snap this up if I didn't already have one. Come on fellas, you will never regret getting one of these. Have you seen Alembic's price list for one of these lately. This is a steal fellas.
