radiophonic Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Financed by offloading a couple of pedals on here last week. I tried this and the Boss in PMT and it was no contest. You have to crank the settings to get anything useful out of the Flanger, but the Chorus itself is lush. It should get an outing tonight, so we'll see how it sits in the mix. JimBobTTD Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Hurrah! Glad you like it. It really is a great chorus. I have mine on: Bass: 3 o'clock Treble: 3 o'clock X-over on Intensity: 10:30 Rate: 1 o'clock Width: 9 o'clock It gives a gentle chorus on the higher frequencies and really warms the signal. Quote
bazzbass Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 yeah I love mine. I also love my Tech 21 Bass Boost Chorus, but it takes up double the space. I'm currently using the Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig which has a useable chorus built in. But the MXR has more useable sounds and does the flanger quite well too. Quote
GisserD Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 I just picked one up on eBay for a steal. Can't wait to try it! Weirdly I found an unusual use for my previous chorus pedals.... They sound great in electronic music!! Really thick chorus on a clean bass in electro or edm, it just works Quote
Sibob Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Yeah MXR nailed it again! Best bass chorus out there in my opinion! Si Quote
T-Bay Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Does anyone know the difference between this and the MXR black label chorus? Quote
Guest DarylClayton Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 I love this pedal. I don't use mine a lot, but when I use it for songs like Off The Wall and I'm Every Woman it really add that extra special something to the sound. Quote
Sean Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 I have one but prefer the TC Corona with Toneprint. Tom Hamilton does no wrong in my eye. Quote
radiophonic Posted May 11, 2017 Author Posted May 11, 2017 I've still not had the chance to try it out in anger! Saturday night's gig got abandoned after the 'organisers' shifted our billing by an hour an a half with no warning and we just walked. Then I had a go in the house, but my strings are totally beyond redemption. So far I've only used it as a guitar pedal but it really isn't voiced for it. Quote

Blue [/quote] You download a file using the TonePrint app and then play that soundfile to your pickups (bass pluggled into the pedal) and it magically transfers the patch to your pedal. It so easy it's wonderful. Quote
