yorks5stringer Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Nice cameo from Klaus Vormann showing how he did the intro to 'You're So Vain' on Bass. One of the 'Soundtrack to my 70's' albums. Quote
julesb Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Great sounding album with a great bass sound throughout. Fender, valves, tape. What a combination. Quote
Mykesbass Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 A nice little demo from him a bit later too. Thanks for posting. Quote
oldbass Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Very interesting doc and that intro was always a mystery to me how he did it...brill. Quote
yorks5stringer Posted May 6, 2017 Author Posted May 6, 2017 Anyone notice Klaus had a big block of foam under his bridge? Quote
dmccombe7 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Thoroughly enjoyed. Might look at buying an album as she had more great well known songs than i first thought. She has a definite feel to her music that makes her stand out from others from that era. Dave Quote
Mykesbass Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I know it's probably very un-hip to admit, but I loved the big production of the live footage. Yes, lovely sound with that foam block. Quote
ivansc Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Fenders came stock from the factory with a smaller (hidden) block of black semi rigid foam glued to the inside of the ashtray. I always kept mine on, but I was playing tape wounds with a pick. Quote
