I just can't believe the Barefaced cheek of it all. Tommy Cogbill did a lot of doubling between Bass and Guitar on his early sessions. http://www.allmusic.com/artist/tommy-cogbill-mn0000614771 Edited May 10, 2017 by lowdown Quote

yorks5stringer Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017
was it not Ronnie Lane (Laine?)
Nope, it was on a Rod Stewart Solo album and although Ronnie Wood(guitar and Bass) and Ian Mac played on it , Ronnie Laine didn't. Likewise neither did John Peel (contrary to his TOP appearance), it was Ray Jackson (Lindisfarne) on Mandolin. Quote
Adrenochrome Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Possibly not a popular bassist... but from what I've seen and heard Bryan Adams is a very handy live bass player while also singing. Quote
