Nick Dewhurst RIP

Don't now whether anybody on here has heard of or knows him, he was Bass player in the Steamboat Band from the early 90's they had a record deal (when they meant something) and bought out one album 'Runners and Riders' but one of the many bands that didn't quite make it, one of his stories was quoting an article from the Manchester Evening News with the headline "Whose going to be the next big thing, the Steamboat Band or Oasis?" I worked with him at Nottingham University, a lovely bloke, only 43 and leaves a long term partner and a 5 year old son, a tragedy, puts things into perspective somehow

I worked with Nick at Notts Uni 2003/4. Really shocked and saddened to see this.

Really lovely guy.
