SOLD - pending the usual.

Early example of JV production, dated 07.1982. As close to a Pre CBS as it gets without cracking the bank - wide and shallow maple neck with rosewood fretboard (around 43,5mm at the nut), beautiful grain Sen ash body, deep red tort guard, and in my oppinion sounding closer to a 60's P than most of the other reissues - it just delivers the deep growl and the nice bootom lows. Threaded bridge saddles, cloth wire, high ratio Kluson style tuners, AlNiCo pickup, brass plate, tight neck pocket, etc.

All original (except a Switchcraft jack - I suppose it did not come from the factory with it) with lots of play wear – small and big scuffs, dings and bumps can be seen all over with the biggest one at the bottom of the body just bellow the jack. Frets look like they have a lot more life ahead of them and elctronics work perfectly. The E tuner stem is slightly bent.

THE BAD - the truss rod is maxed out and still I can not achieve the super low action I am after. With standart 45 roundwounds the actions is more to the mid to high. If you can live with that than great, I am used to playing with extremely low action. Was planning to get it to my bass tech but do not the time to deal with that. If you can live with 40 roundwounds I the suppose action can get better.

Detailed photos of the bass can be found here: https://goo.gl/photo...umndbcms6kmSqG8

Given what they go for without the neck issue my price is SOLD. Shipping to UK and most of EU is usually around £30. Comes with its original brown leather gig bag and will be shipped well packed in a cardboard box. I will ship from Bulgaria so there will be no import taxes for EU buyers. Money transfers through PayPal or bank.

Feel free to ask me any additional questions or demand additional photos/videos. Delivery usually takes around 7 working days to the UK and most of EU. My feedback can be found here: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2610067

Not looking for trades for this one.

Regards

If you wanted to lower the action, given the maxed out truss rod,
could you place a thin shim between neck and body? Would that help take the truss rod back a little, and lower the action?

Lovely looking bass

Hi, sorry but I am away for a while and can not experiment as suggested or measure the string height. The bass is on hold till the next Monday, if the sale falls through I will provide further details.
