Right then, here are the top ten results of the original thread found here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=30285

I took only your first three votes if you listed more than that. I may or may not have made the odd mistake.

01) James Jamerson - 20 votes
02) John Entwistle - 17 votes
03) Bernard Edwards - 9 votes
04) Jaco Pastorius - 8 votes
05) Geddy Lee, Marcus Miller, Stuart Zender - joint 7 votes
06) Flea - 6 votes
07) Aston Barrett, Jean-Jacques Burnel, Stanley Clarke, Les Claypool, Duck Dunn, Bruce Foxton, Mark King, Lemmy, Pino Palladino, Timmy C - joint 5 votes
08) Peter Hook, Paul McCartney, Paul Simonon, Norman Watt-Roy - joint 4 votes
09) Bootsy Collins, John Deacon, Leigh Gorman, Mick Karn, Victor Wooten - joint 3 votes
10) Jeff Ament, Jack Bruce, Simon Gallup, Steve Harris, John Paul Jones, Colin Moulding, Mani, Bruce Thomas - joint 2 votes

Lots of ties unfortunately, so if we could get a tie-breaker vote on the guys at #07 we'd have the real list, ie Geddy Lee, Marcus Miller and Stuart Zender would be joint tied at #05, Flea would then move to #08, and we just need to fill #09 and #10 with either Aston Barrett, Jean-Jacques Burnel, Stanley Clarke, Les Claypool, Duck Dunn, Bruce Foxton, Lemmy, Pino Palladino.

A few casting votes for the above would be appreciated, thanks. :)

Cheers,

Jake M

+1

That's a great top 3 as they are three bassists with very unique but hugely influential styles...

My tie-break votes would be:
05) Geddy Lee
07) JJB

So did Willie Weeks, no analness from me either.

Must have been a nightmare trawling through our "but I also like these guys" posts.
