I go to quite a few of the northern shows, always an interesting few hours.
Don't expect too much bass-wise, they tend to be mainly guitar orientated although
this can vary. Some good deals to be had on accessories, especially strings. Often
a few stalls with lots of spares which are hard to find elsewhere other than t'internet.
Live music sessions are popular, and again vary a lot. When these are running it's
the best time to look around the show as they draw a good crowd away from the stalls.
Enjoy!

You'll enjoy it, lots of stuff to mooch about, if you play guitar as well there's loads to look at.

I stock up on leads, straps, strings, stands etc.
