Chris Horton Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 (edited) SOLD Hi , price dropped to £900 I am thinking about selling my lovely Yamaha TRB6 , MK1 , Slap cut bass. According to the serial number , the bass was made between 1986 - 1989. The bass is all original and is finished in a lovely translucent black / charcoal. The bass comes with the Yamaha Hard case. The bass is in beautiful condition throughout and everything works as it should. Set up with low action , the bass is easy to play. A lovely vintage bass. Risk101 Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 I thought the original Series 1 (i.e. like this one) were 34" scale with 19mm string spacing, and then amended to 35" / 18mm on the Series 2, but as you say a ruler will decide it one way or the other! Very very nice bass and in amazing condition for its age - GLWTS

andybassdoyle Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 This was myself first 6, same colour and a great bass. Tbh I'm not sure I really knew what I had back then but I would get compliments on the sound from non bass players which I would now consider the gold standard of positive feedback. Re the specs I'm not sure but I would guess at 34 scale and 19mm spacing based on my recollection. A very nice 6 and a good example of what is good about bolt on necks. X
Chris Horton Posted May 19, 2017 Author Posted May 19, 2017 Thanks for all the comments guys. Just measured the bridge and I can confirm that the string spacing is 19mm on this bass
Chris Horton Posted September 1, 2017 Author Posted September 1, 2017 I forgot that the bass was still for sale Bump for cash offers
