ash
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Jazz-Bass-Special-Guitar-1987-Custom-Black-With-Case-Receipt-/272671251896?hash=item3f7c791db8:g:MLIAAOSw5cNYOvxs The body seems an odd shape for this style bass and bridge alignment looks wonky or is it simply the angle of the photo? Plus slight exaggeration of value of case!
Bassassin
Bitsa. Mid-80s MIJ Jazz Special neck on a body (+ decent hardware) of indeterminate origin. Interesting bass but I'd think the asking price was a bit ambitious. To the tune of £400 or so.
ash
I thought as much body looks like a Hohner or something. Cheers
Bassassin
What's interesting is that he describes it as a "custom" and describes his original receipt from Roka's as "where it was made". The receipt itself says "1x Custom P-J Bass". Wonder if Roka's were putting together their own parts basses with Fender necks at the time? Odd one. anzoid
Well, what with inflation and all that his £375 from 1987 is now worth £968... and don't forget the inflation on £200 worth of hard case... (£516 in today's money!!) So, it's actually a very good deal - perhaps even a bargain...
