Bassman Sam
I went to the North West Guitar Show yesterday and met up with the lovely Chris Dobson of Alpher Basses and Guitars. What a wonderful guy and I managed to blag a play on a couple of his works of art. The quality of them totally blew me away and I'm know suffering from the worst GAS I have ever experienced in my life. If you haven't checked them out, do yourself a favour and do so immediately. edit. Why I'm I upside down? Guest Jecklin
I have been following Alpher on Instagram for a while. They have made some lovely Instruments. I'd really like to have a go on one, but try as might I just can't fall in love with their body shapes. The necks on the other hand look incredible

If I'm honest whenever I'm playing my Mako it doesn't feel like you're playing a Single cut at all. It's strange, something just sets the shape apart from all other single cuts. AdamWoodBass
Another vote for Alpher here. Really nice guys and absolutely stunning basses, I think I played 4 or 5 of them at the Northwest Guitar Show on Sunday and was consistantly blown away. That dark red passive 5 string was unreal! I think there's a youtube video of Scott Devine trying out the same bass. For a passive 5 string the low B is absolutely monstrous.

ChazzJEUK
Here's my new BEATIFUL Mako Thinline, I'm sure this is a very recognizable bass, I couldn't resist giving her a home. I've had it for around 2 weeks now, I can honestly say it's one of the most fantastic sounding and playing instruments I've had the pleasure of owning. Obligatory show off pics....
