aj5string
Up for sale is this absolute beast, and quite unusual Fender head. Check the specs out below - its amazing - 1200W at 2 ohms, and 800W at 4 mean its got more than enough power for any situation. The tone is just insane - its the epitomy of the dreaded 'H' word. And the similaritites in layout and tone between this and the Thunderfunk range is written about all over the web! This one has been with me for a year or so, in my studio. Come to the realisation that for what I use it for its overkill, and the investment could be better used elsewhere and on some more useful kit. Its in great condition - see pics, with the rack ears slightly bent and some slight rack rash. Happy to courier, or look at the possibility of meeting up - Im based in South Devon, but gig weekly - predominantly across the South of the country, but sometimes further afield. As ever - any questions, please get in touch. Price includes delivery. It delivers 800W at 4 ohms and 1,200W at 2 ohms via either Speakon or 1/4" connectors. The anodized silver faceplate is easy to read and is flanked by heavy-duty chrome handles. Tone is handled by a 5-band EQ that includes a 3-band semi-parametric EQ with on/off and gain control. A Room Balance control compensates for extreme acoustics. Other controls include an Enhance switch that emphasizes highs and lows, a variable compressor, balanced XLR output with pre/post EQ switch, ground llift and level control for line out, mute switch, tuner output, effects loop, and one-button footswitch for EQ. FEATURES

800W at 4 ohms ; 1,200W at 2 ohms
Speakon and 1/4" connectors
Legible anodized silver faceplate
Heavy-duty chrome handles
5-band EQ with 3-band semi-parametric EQ with on/off and gain control
Room Balance control compensates for extreme acoustics
Enhance switch emphasizes highs and lows
Variable compressor
Balanced XLR output with pre/post EQ switch
Ground lift and level control for line out
Mute switch
Tuner output
Effects loop
Edited June 5, 2017 by aj5string

aj5string
Cheers for the comments - it is a beast of an amp with tone to die for! Would consider trades for a gigable combo.
aj5string
Bump - still here, debating whether to keep and get a cab, but am still very interested to hear offers and/or trade offers (try me!). Am more than happy to courier at my cost.
lee650
Hmmm id not normally consider a Fender bass head! But this looks fantastic
aj5string
Yeah - I was in a very similar boat - online they seem to get likened to the Thunderfunk's rather than similar period Fender heads. The sound isnt what I do associate with a traditional fender head either...
aj5string
Some nibbles, but nothing sorted yet. Am driving from Devon to Bournemouth tomorrow for a gig so could potentially meet en route. Am happy to listen to offers, and am very open to the idea of a trade for a combo, or amp related things...
aj5string
Just had a play on this with my P, and think I'm going to withdraw it...
