Made by Fuji-Gen the 1st year they took over the Fender Japan production.
I need a Precision so this splendid jazz is up for trade.

One raised an interesting point (thanks Tim).

Here is my reply;
"I'm 99% convinced it's the JB62-US.
However, without taking the neck off and looking to see what is stamped in the pocket, I cannot positively confirm that.

Normally that would not be a problem, but I'm not going to this time.
Simple reason is most basses that have had the neck off, have two lines of cracked paint where the neck is screwed back on too tightly. Been there, done that .
This does not have the paint cracks and so I'm not going to risk it I'm afraid.

As a result of that, I think I'm probably going to withdraw the bass.

Nothing on bottom of either pups, but certainly well made. The foam is in super condition for a 21 year old bass. As are the brass?? strips on the bottom of the pups.

My old 1990 Jap 60's re issue, also had the brass strips under the pick up's. They should have earth wires soldered to them ?

It's a 62 reissue.
As per real 62 Jazzes, there is an earthing strip running from bridge to bridge pickup, on the top of the body (see pic #3)..
