Bonham and Jones were big fans of Motown. The bass and drums in the solo of the Lemon Song are awesomely funky. The quiet second solo especially.

Saw JPJ perform in 1999 at my local pub (capacity 150-200). It was a warm up gig for his 'Zooma' tour. A three piece with Nick Beggs on bass/stick (Cannot remember the name of the drummer). Sensational gig it was and let us not forget his keyboard skills. I was standing right in front of him as he kicked off an instrumental version of 'No Quarter'. Tremendous! and this was his first gig as a solo artist I believe. The promoter said he was a bag of nerves before the gig. Terrific night and funky as anything

I think you're right, I am using my P and getting the right tone and I get a P tone on my jazz with just the neck pup :)

Fantastic, so much invention on a really disciplined track. And the tam-tam still sounds awesome even in the background.
