andytoad Posted May 22, 2017 Share Posted May 22, 2017 Well, this is my 1000th post and I have realised, I have not done an intro! So, I'm 39 been playing since 14, not a gifted player, but I'd like to think I have accomplished a few bass player 'to do's before I die'. Like most I have been through loads of gear in an attempt to find my perfect setup. Not quite there yet!! I'm currently in one pub covers band that also does a tribute with the addition of a percussionist. Been in it for about seven years. In all the the bands I have been in, this is one without an ego, we get on great. I have the feeling some of the audience 'get' bass players, others just wonder why the bloke at the back is not picking up the empty pint glasses. I'd like to gig till I drop of old age and hope I can still play a bass in a pub even when I'm too old to cart gear around. And of course, I love BC and loiter on a daily basis!
