madshadows
The new range of Ibanez SRH basses look really cool, anyone played one yet?, thoughts on them? Rich
Really liked the look of the SRH505 until I saw this in the specs... "16.5mm string spacing" Ugh. Far too cramped.
lowhand_mike
most of ibanez's 5 string basses are 16.5mm, takes a little getting used to from the 4 string 19mm but no too difficult
alyctes
I should know better than to click on links like that ...
CamdenRob
Some lovely looking basses on that link... As above though, 16.5 is way too tight for my agricultural technique Edited May 30, 2017 by CamdenRob
Phil Adams
Im sure I looked at the 500 in Andertons earlier this year, and despite the F hole, thought it was heavier than I expected it to be. I do worry about the finish on the brown basses, looks like ot would wear away with little provocation. Perhaps I'm wrong.
philw
Such a shame there's no unlined fretless options on the piezo/f-hole ones. I'd be really interested otherwise. P Edited May 30, 2017 by philw
fretmeister
[quote name='Rich' timestamp='1495693659' post='3305843'] Really liked the look of the SRH505 until I saw this in the specs... geoffbyrne
I like the look of that SRF705 though...... G.
ezbass
If I didn't already have a Rob Allen, I'd be very interested in one of those. Ibanez have come out with another desirable design.
Twincam
I so want one of those Sras7 things. But I can't play more than 4 strings and I can't play fretless but I'm sure I could work it somehow. Those srh basses look pretty cool. Although I've seen on some pics they look a bit chunky in the body. Obviously I know there a hollow body so they need to be. Zummerbass
I tried the SRH500F and the SRF700 quite recently. Very impressed with the latter, initially daunting, but once I got past that-wow! Huge range of tones, very playable. SRH500F- to me,visually a bit dull looking. As noted, heavier than it looks.
