Basscabman
Worth It? Ive got a few high frets on my P Bass and was thinking about getting a level and crown done at the Gallery, does It really make a difference? Anyone had It done can shed any light? Cheers
MoonBassAlpha
If you like a really low action, it will get you lower and cleaner than you will manage at present. If you like a high action, many do, it's probably not worth the bother.
Grangur
If you have a few high frets then you'll have buzzes and stuff going on. Yes, that's worth fixing IMHO. It would drive me bananas. Edited May 26, 2017 by Grangur
chris_b
If you have a few frets getting in the way then you definitely should have this work done. IME this will be a night and day improvement. I had my Lakland set up and fret stoned at the Gallery. It came back playing like there weren't any strings on it. I wish I'd done it years before. The action was so low I couldn't play the thing so I had to raise it a little, but you can still feel the difference. I currently have another bass at the Gallery having the frets being worked on. This isn't just about low action. It makes your bass play better at any action you choose. Edited May 26, 2017 by chris_b

gary mac
Definitely worth doing. Just about every bass and guitar I work on, need a few frets leveled and crowned.

Basscabman
+1 for the Gallery, picked bass up yesterday and plays superbly! Super low action and no rattles or buzzes anywhere, They also cut grooves In Badass bridge saddles too! Excellent job from top people.
