DIYjapan
Hello, My name is Brian. I live in Japan and run a small English school in the middle of Nowhere. I love Japan it is a great place to be but outside of Tokyo it isn't at all what you'd think it would be. I live outside of Tokyo. Well outside of Tokyo. I'm really interested in DIY projects and recently completed 2 cigar box guitars. While not as much fun as bass guitar they do really hit the spot when I feel like jamming sometimes. Living where I do the options for materials are very thin. The home center only sells the cheapest of the cheap ply and often still damp wood. Boo to them for that. I found this site while looking for options for a single driver 12" Bass Cab. I was really impressed with the level of kindness and support that all the members offered. I hope to one day be able to respond in kindness for any and all the support I may receive here. Thanks for letting me join your forum even though I'm not from the UK. [/quote] The lacquer ware is beautiful but the traditional joinery techniques that the Japanese use are amazing. Really mind blowing stuff.
