leschirons
Anyone know if Genz make a 600w head without a tube preamp like the Shuttle 3.0? Thanks
stingrayPete1977
No they don't but you can do what I did by getting a Shuttlemax 9.2 which is a twin channel head, one FET and one tube, basically a 900 watt version of the shuttle 3.0. I've got a 3.0 a 6.0 and the 9.2 Max, I think the 3.0 sounds the best! Tubes and heft?, meh Edited May 27, 2017 by stingrayPete1977
leschirons
Thanks for the tip. I need a backup head and would have definitely bought a second Shuttle 6.0 had it been all FET but I can't get over the love I had for my Shuttle 3.0. On the 9.0, would the FET preamp still work if the valve channel went down?
stingrayPete1977
Yes it's in two halves with full controls for each channel then it also has a global output with low, mid and hi plus preshapes, knobs galore!

stingrayPete1977
20 knobs and 8 buttons, footswitch controller, para mids for low and high mid on both channels, there's fx loops for each channel and a global loop on the back along with a good switchable DI output, tuner send etc etc etc on the rear panel. leschirons
Blimey, it's a lot bigger than the 6.0. Still lightweight?
stingrayPete1977
Yes weighs nothing really, feels like an empty box!
stingrayPete1977
That's still sat on a 1x10 without any overhang either.
