What's the gig scene like round Lewes (East Sussex)

In the next couple of years it looks like we might be relocating to somewhere near Lewes. Anyone know what the gig scene is like round there? Any active jam nights? I realise that Brighton isn't too far away, but I would imagine we will end up East of Lewes, so a bit far for regular evening jollies to Brighton.

I've played in a couple of times as part of tours and it was great. We did an instore at the local record shop and played the Con Club, both very well attended.

Brighton is fantastic, as you can imagine.

The jam nights at Casablanca's on a Thursday night are awesome. Plenty of great Jazz jams too. Feel free to drop me a message if you'd like to know more, Richard.

The Con club is a brilliant little venue. There's also a few pubs that put on live music. The All Saints is an old church that is now a venue and can be hired for reasonable money. You can even do your own bar there... and it's a great place to live. (Lewes, not the bar. Although thinking about it ...
