kjb Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 (edited) I'm after a looper, there's so much choice though. This is on that I've been thinking about, and I saw this http://steve.anthropiccollective.org/archi...rst_restau.html I suppose if it's good enough for Steve Lawson. I don't have a massive budget, I just bought a new amp last week, and I have a new bass on the way, so the Akai looks like a bargain. What are the pros and cons of this over all of the other makes. Stan_da_man Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I was looking at this looper too. Looks good for the money. Quote
kjb Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 It sure does look good for the money. Check the review out here http://www.loopers-delight.com/tools/akai/...HeadrushE2.html Quote
Higgie Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 The Headrush E2 is the best looper I have used. Quote
warwickhunt Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I bought an AKAI last week, £100 from SC. Great fun and narf does sharpen up your timing. Can't wait for the next gig as our guitarist may well sh*t his pants when I do all of the parts to the next U2 cover on my bass. I didn't try all of the others but for a looper that can record 28 seconds or so of sample and then let you overdub or jam to your hearts content, you're gonna struggle to get better. It's so easy to use even our drummer... no actually I'm lying there. A bassist can work one but a drummer will struggle when it comes to 'where do I hit it'. Quote
fleamail Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I had an AKAI headrush which broke down. I replaced it with the E2 but I liked the sound of the first one better. I am currently after one too, there are a couple of auctions on ebay right now. Quote
Stan_da_man Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 I just saw it for £94 inc. free delivery. Quote

Ant Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 i've got both the headrush E2 and the line 6 DL4 in my house at the moment, Headrush wins hands down, just as easy to use, feels sturdier, but most of all - the loops sound nicer. Quote
