To buy it I sold quite a few basses and thought I was doing myself a favour by stripping back to basics. It's 3 colour sunburst, rosewood...9lb, includes case, covers, strap, and is currently strung 45-105 rounds with a low action. The original owner had a thumb rest above the strings so there is one extra hole in the pickguard - I totally didn't notice until a few days ago. Some very small marks definitely in the 9/10+ realm of condition. Two of the basses I sold were much more modern and I reckon I needed that mix of vintage and modern - main bass is a CS 64 Jazz. I'm going to build a P/J-Bass soon (neck on way, body next week) and I reckon I'll go active EMG's in that. This bass was ordered through Dawsons Manchester in 2007 when I worked there. One arrived damaged and I ordered the guy another one - we kept in touch and it turns out he'd not really used it since then as it was his dream bass and he didn't want to run the risk of damaging it. He's chasing original vintage precision basses so he offered it to me. It's lovely...but... I think...and it's been a long time so I might be a rose tinted glasses scenario...I'd like one of the two as a trade - JayDee Supernatural (series 1 or 3 shape) I'd prefer more recent ones as my 88 had the (common) neck movements every time the weather changed. Fender Marcus Miller - Has to be Mexican version (plus money my way) preferably White finish. Something Status/Modulus. Only after 4 strings...not looking to trade up either as I've got other projects to fund. Anyhow, not in a mad rush for a sale/trade - just getting feelers out. I have some concerns about the width of the nut, but the only way to be sure is to try it really. I didn't realise the AVRI was a wider nut than a standard P.
