anzoid
Hope this is the right place to put this. I've put my Fender fretless bitsa back together and it's turned out quite nicely (see photo... ) Only probem is that the intonation on the E-string is somewhat dodgy. My tuner is a cheapo tru-bypass type micro pedal I got for about £10 off eBay - and I'm not sure it's up to the job of doing the intonation - I can turn the tuner about half a turn and the "needle" doesn't even move - so for adjusting something even more precise... well I'm not too confident. So, looking for recommendations for reasonable tuner that won't break the bank but will actually do the job. I'm leaning towards something like a Korg Pitchblack - but don' t want to waste the money if it's not the one... ikay
I've been using a Pitchblack for a couple of years (with 5 string and 4 string basses) and very happy with it. Particularly like the display which is easy to see on stage. I also have a TC Electronic Polytune clip on which is equally impressive and also useful for acoustic things like double bass. Norris
I have a tuner app on my Android phone. I also recently bought a fairly cheap D'Addario clip on tuner which seems pretty good
samhay
Are you tuning to the harmonic at the 12th fret?

JPJ
I recommend the Snark clip on tuner. Works brilliantly in 'vibration' mode for this sort of adjustment. Covers both my five string electrics and my 3/4 double bass with ease. £17 from Guitar Guitar but probably available cheaper online.
