eude
Hi hive mind! Just thinking out loud, but what compact combos are out there that offer real full range clarity, and giggable volume, without costing the earth? Thanks for your input! TheGreek
You can pick up a Trace Elliot for around £200-250 - does everything you'll ever need it to.
Ah, I should've added to the requirements that it should be reasonably compact and lightweight. I used to own a Trace combo years back, I loved it, but my back did not enjoy carrying it flights of stairs before and after I gigged it I'll edit my post now. Muppet
That's better! They've added a mute switch and a headphone out. That looks like a cracking combo - wish I had that instead of my CMD121...

Eude
First thought that popped into my head was I'd prefer it with either Black or acid green speakers matching the facia rather than the yellow. I'd like to hear on though
Yup, it's a lovely setup, but I don't feel it does the full range of my 6 string quite the justice it deserves. I can hear a lot more through headphones via the amp, or when I've DI'd for recording too... Eude

Marc S
Another fan of Markbass combos here My CMD 102P was a great combo I only sold it to get separates, and a flexible arrangement of different amp heads with different cabs for flexibility..... I still have a Markbass 102 traveller cab, it's stupidly lightweight, and sounds brilliant Edited June 2, 2017 by Marc S
Ghost_Bass
You can't get much more full-range and flat response than this: https://www.glockenk...mbo_duo_art.htm Edit: not very affordable though Edited June 2, 2017 by Ghost_Bass
NickD
To ease my aching bones I picked up a Markbass 121H from the Classifieds here. It's range is great, and I've never had it beyond a quarter volume yet, so I probably won't need to budget for the extension cab I thought I might need. I've been running it alongside the Trace combo used and loved for years and I honestly can't hear anything lacking, so as a one handed carry solution it looks like it's staying.
