BobVbass
Yeah I know it's just a cable but.... I'm keen IEMs - especially as I now have a dedicated monitor mix form our new XR16 desk. I tried the LD 1000 wireless system and frankly while it worked the bass sound especially was awful so I asked our resident expert OBBM (aka Dave of Rock Wire) to make me a cable and it works brilliantly. It's a guitar lead (neutrik silent jack to standard jack) for my bass but also has a 3mm headphone jack for my monitor amp and the bass amp end and a 3mm headphone socket at the guitar end - crystal clear sound, no extra leads tangling and even better as the cable is slightly thicker than a guitar lead it doesn't twist up when I wander about. £900 cheaper than a shure wireless system! Anyway there you go - today's exciting cable news!
CameronJ
I need to get me one of these - would make practice with my Phil Jones BigHead a lot neater. I know TC Helicon make a similar cable designed for use with their floor-based Voicelive units but it only comes in one fixed length. I may have to place an order with OBBM... xzodar
I can vouch for the quality of these cables. I have one for my bass and six more similar (with xlr rather than instrument jacks) to provide a wired iem for my bands brass line. Dave (OBBM) is a top guy! Cheers, Pete.
