ForestPoetry
Here's my black 'n maple MIM Standard I tricked out with a black plate...not much but I love it and it's served me very well! Once it gets "retired" from my band I have plans to get a Status fretless neck on there, and probably put some different p/ups in.

Correcting myself though, I'm sure was told 1992, but in fact it's 2002 - one of the first batch of serial numbers.

SurroundedByManatees
'71 Telecaster: A very resonant lightweight example. Beefy neck, but it plays nicely with a low action. I have fender flats installed, which sound and feel great. Not too vintage:). Aerodyne special run: Bought just recently. These are nice allrounders. Light in weight and comfortable to play. This is from a limited run in old candy apple red. '82 Precision special And my Precision special that seems to be moving to a new owner one of these days. Its a great sounding, playing bass. A bit heavy though. These are very well built.

SurroundedByManatees
Thanks. Initially i saw an '68 for sale here in the netherlands. It had the lovely lollipop tuners. Though it was a heavy one at 5kg. Not much later this lightweight '71 popped up on ebay uk. bassmayhem
My baby: J'78, all original from neck up, with the exception of a refret. It had originally athe weight of a small car; I played the bass from 1982 and forward, causing me a slipped disc on the way. I retired it around 2000, but "revamped" it with a custom ordered body from guitarbuild.co.uk and made it look nearly the way it did when I got it. Do I have to say it sounds and plays fantastic. This is the bass I bring to a deserted island...

SurroundedByManatees
Wow, that one looks just great. I just convinced myself that I do not need a vintage Fender...... RedVee
I get tired of showing my solid bodied P Bass and J Bass so here is my other Fender a Fender Kingman ABG. This gets very little playtime and I really don't know why I bought it in the first place but I did. It is not the loudest acoustic on the market if you want to play it live without amplification, but it has a cracking J Bass neck and a good Fishman preamp. Made in China which I was sceptical about at first, but after reading on line reviews which were in praise of it I took the plunge. The build quality and sound are both great and it is currently strung with La Bella White Nylon Tapewounds. I have a Kingman, it’s really loud and allows you to ‘dig in’ like no other acoustic bass, if only they made a short scale version... RedVee
Yep it is just like any other Acoustic when plugged in, but acoustically I have played other ABG's that are noticeably louder.
