skywalker
Hi All A big thanks to Nick for giving us a unique venue, no other bass bash anywhere in the country can top that. And extra thanks for the surgery on my neck. Everything is as good if not better than ever. Some great instruments and the opportunity to play basses we've never even seen before let alone been allowed to play was excellent. Hope everyone had a safe journey. Robert is tweaking the photos and they will be on here by tomorrow. Best wishes to all Steve

NAS
Fabulous pics guys - gives a great feel of the event - and those two Yamahas!. Got to get the dog (Maisie) trained up for next year. NS
RobJ
Here we go... Unfortunately I've had to write some off as being too dull. It wasn't the brightest of days, and they couldn't be rescued. If next year is outside, this will give a much bigger scope for better photography. Here's a few for now, a few more should be along on Sunday... Rob - many thanks for posting your pics. I'd be very happy to see any of the others you took as I'm sure your standards of what is acceptable are far too high! Thanks to all for a great day. birdy
Really sorry I missed this. Unfortunately our saturday evening gig required an earlier than expected start so it wouldn't have been feasable but looks like you all had a great time. Stunning pics and a superb venue. Bloodaxe
A huge thanks to Nick for letting us overrun his magnificent pile (oo-er). What can I say. Great bunch of people, fantastic location, enough gear to cause a major GASfest, friendly dog, Damson Chutney (mmmmm).. the list can go on and on and on. Here's to the next one (hopefully) Pete. NAS
Well that makes at least another 4 who might be able to make it next time round. Is there a seasonal preference for next year? Mid June is good for us here, but I know some take early holidays. Would be good if we can get a date in the diary when we can maximise attendance and not clash with too many other bass oriented events that people would like to attend. skywalker
This is one of those things that goes in the diary and every thing is planned around it. Mid june is fime for me, I am usually away early July before the schools break, so it fits well for me. The balance of the photos will be on here I hope today. Rob has had a couple of fraught days at work, and fitted in an interview for a promotion, so I think he is a bit frazzled. Steve
birdy
Guys, I dont know if you would agree with me but it may be nice to do this twice a year. Typically the 'national' bass occurs mid March and Mid September and is really good and my way of thinking was that the regional bashes were maybe to give people a chance to get together between these. On reflection not sure how popular December would be but why dont we look to have another one sometime in November which is typically a low gigging boring month. Thats my thoughts, not expecting you to host it again NAS unless you wanted too! Steve

NAS
Just a quick postscript. Been offline for a bit (eldest daughter's wedding and other family events). Small item found in tidying up - bit of black plastic with popper - text is SEIKO Automatic Guitar Tuner - Buffer. Looks like part of casing / packaging. May be trivial, may be vital! Let me know address details if important enough to send. Generally happy to do this again if people express a demand and come up with suitable dates. Best to all, Nick S
mhuk
That's the other half of my tuner plastic cover. Not important enough to post but if you can keep it until next time?
NAS
No worries Mark - it's in the bass bits drawer until next time! NS Edited June 27, 2007 by NAS
