EBS_freak Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Very nice... although the rear headstock laminates and pickup covers aren't to my taste, it'll do I suppose! Quote

peted Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 That's an amazing piece of work. Though I wouldn't know whether it should be played or hung on the wall as decoration. It's a crying shame that the control cavity cover is plastic when he's done all that work on the wooden bridge, rear facing, and pickup cover. Quote
mcgraham Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Looking sharp! It's very brown! But also very exotic. Reminds me of a Carl Thompson crossed with a Benavente. I'm not so keen on the relative narrowness of the body where it joins the neck though. I realise it's a 9 string and you need to make it manageable, I'm just commenting on the aesthetics. Have you had a chance to try it out? Quote
paul, the Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 It reminds me of medieval instruments. I don't think JF is great at the aesthetic, but I bet it sounds quite good. Quote

Noisyjon Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 No disrespect to the luthier and the customer but it does not do anything for me. Nice looking wood though. Quote
alexclaber Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Fair bit of woodworking in that! Nice bridge too... Alex Quote
wotnwhy Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 that fluking fantastic! i love it, almost* every single bit of it! even if it does steal some of my ideas.. Tom *i don't love the way the thread for the 6th string goes past the nut Quote

elros Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Looks quite nice! How does it sound? And how does it balance on a strap? Quote
BigBassBob Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Hot diggidy that thing the sex! Shame about the plastic control cavity cover Quote

7string Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Not my cup of tea as it's a bit busy, but it's great to a see another UK ERB. Would be great to hear what it sounds like and the thoughts of it's owner. Quote
