TheGreek Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Looks nice - not sure how much work replacing the truss rod nut would be. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Godin-5-string-bass-/292142402760?hash=item44050b4cc8:g:gIwAAOSwZ4dZNvkl Quote
Mykesbass Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Even at that final price somebody got a nice deal. Quote
AndyTravis Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Nearly bid. Nearly. Sort of annoying that I didn't really. Quote
binky_bass Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Went up to £150, didn't fancy risking anymore. Still, I'm sure the new owner won't be disappointed. Quote

Happy Jack Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Dunno. They're lovely basses, but I think his advert is remarkably straight about this - if you're comfortable playing that bass without adjusting the trussrod then it's probably a bargain. If you need to 'fix' the trussrod, for whatever reason, then you're tap-dancing through a minefield. By the time you've separated the fingerboard from the neck, found the cause of the problem, fixed it professionally, and put everything back together, chances are you'd have been better off just buying a fully functional example. dannybuoy Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Good price provided you could fix the issue cheaply. I have the newer 4-string model with the additional magnetic bridge pickup and it's a lovely thing. Quote
