Hi there,
We are a three piece band looking for a bass player with experience and strong lead and backing vocal ability. The band plays early 60's Rhythm and Blues, Rock N Roll, Blues/Soul and Blues. We play the music of the early Stones, Chuck Berry, The Kinks, Muddy Waters, Animals etc but we don't attempt replicating the originals, we play them our way. Preferably you'd be someone who grew up listening to this kind of music and know most of that early material and have the feel. We choose from around + - 50 rehearsed songs and play pubs and clubs and travel to gigs in London, West of London and North of London and occasionally South of. Realistically we’ve been as far asNorthampton, MKeynes, Bedford, Aylesbury, High Wyc, Luton, Hatfield, many places within the M25 and Slough, Reading, Hayes, as well as Croyden, Tooting, Merstham etc. You'd preferably be based in North or West of, or just outside, London, for gig traveling and rehearsal purposes. You'll need excellent pro equipment and transport. Teeth and hair are optional! The drummer and the guitarist/lead vocalist are both seasoned players with 40+ years of experience both home and abroad. This outfit, as an RnB /blues band, has been operational for the last ten years. We play at least once a week but I emphasise I'm NOT looking to use or encourage DEPS. The band does a lot of repeat gigs and the standard that comes from playing a lot together has to be maintained. If you think you'd like to be involved in this rockin' outfit then please get in touch and point me in the direction of either any You Tube videos or any links to your web site or somewhere that we can hear you play and sing on line. This is a serious offer for the right person and, after a swift rehearsal period, you could be playing very quickly thereafter. Looking forward to hearing from you.
