NBD! Harley Benton MB-4

So the posty dropped this off today

And what a punchy little beasty it is! The fit and finish are superb, I'd honestly be happy paying 5x of what this cost for this sort of quality. The body is blemish free as is the neck and matching headstock. The neck is thick, almost like a baseball bat but it isn't uncomfortable or a hindrance, it sports well dressed frets that are buzz free and I dig in quite hard. The passive pickup is quite hot, there is a slight singlecoil hum when you roll down one volume (wired VVT) but that is to be expected. Even the strings are nice, no idea what they are but they'll be staying on until they're dead.

I feel like I've robbed Thomann for £112 delivered. 3 day delivery from Germany is very good too!

If i'm honest I have never played or heard a Stingray in the flesh, but it does have a very nice gritty growl going on.

It's become my go to bass at home now, I'm even starting to prefer it over my P basses!

I think I'll order a HB JB-75MN jazz soon, you really can't go wrong

I had their natural body jazz copy for a while. Astonishing bass . But it was just too heavy and I simply didn't need as many basses at The time. Does this feel a bit on the heavy side?

I don't have an exact figure but it isn't heavy, I've played it for an hour or so at a time without it being uncomfortable.

Fancied one of these but the Thomann web site picture shows the p/up closer to the middle, is it a false image or have they changed the layout?
