Kevin Dean Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Flipping heck that will be interesting stuff , Can't wait to hear them . Quote
NancyJohnson Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Thanks for the heads up! The track up on You Tube sounds a bit Zappa-esque. I'm really not a fan of Mark King, so I did hit the play button with a degree of trepidation. The bass playing here is nice and phat, reasonably subdued and there doesn't seem to be any of that slappity-pop-pop-slappity nonsense going on; the lines as the track progresses remind me of Billy Sheehan for some reason. Elements of this track remind of Primus too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygZyuB21gMU Quote
mike 110 Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Slappity pop pop slappity Brilliant ! It does sound intriguing though and I do like Mark King Quote
ambient Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 It'd be great if it was Adrian Belew, Stewart Copeland and a bass player who wasn't Mark King. Quote
Kevin Dean Posted June 23, 2017 Author Posted June 23, 2017 It sounds refreshing to me, I like it. Quote
SpondonBassed Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 If it gets Mark out of a rut I'm all for it. Quote

spectoremg Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 I reckon wiring someone's thumb up to a million volts dc so it forms a circuit if it touches the strings is do-able. Just sayin'. Quote
