thebrig
Does anyone out there have an accurate tab for Thin Lizzy's Emerald? I think I'm more or less there with it and I'm quite happy with my interpretation, but I would like have a look at an accurate tab to see if I can improve it in any way. Thanks
steantval
Jesus, what a poor response. Surely there must be some players on here who have covered Emerald by Lizzy. I have done a fair few Lizzy covers, three in our current set but unfortunately I have never done Emerald otherwise I would help.
Dad3353
Sorry, I've a pretty fair collection of all sorts of stuff, including a fair few 'Lizzy' tunes, but no 'Emerald', I'm afraid.
Number6
I've done a few but never Emerald.
thebrig
Wow! I thought it would be one of the Lizzy songs that a lot of bands would have covered at some stage. Still, from our bands perspective, I suppose that's a good thing as we will be playing something that isn't generally covered by other bands. We ran through it for the first time in rehearsal on Saturday, and it worked quite well, I've got most of the runs off, but it's the long guitar solo at the end that I'm struggling a bit with, I'm not looking to play it note for note of course, but having a look at a reasonably accurate tab can sometimes help with improvising. Hopefully someone out there will point me in the right direction..
KevB
Maybe easier just to pick it up from a video lesson? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFkIkwkt9tw
