I'm a total technophobe, so excuse my ignorance here :).

I have quite a few pedals on my pedal board, the most important one is my delay pedal, I use a very long delay as a kind of looper, I like the way the 'loops' gradually fade.

I'm looking for a pedal that will allow me to bypass the delay pedal, but I still want what is coming out of it to carry on through to my amp/PA.

Would the LS2 enable me to do this?

Or is there a better alternative?

Your looking for a loop pedal with trails.
Something like this would do: http://www.brightoni.../trails-looper/

What delay are you using? Quite a few of them have trails as an option.

TC electronic Flashback. I wasn't sure if the sound still coming from the Flashback would carry on outwards, or is it just the input signal that you're bypassing?

I think there are a couple of switches inside, one to leave the delays going while you are in bypass. The other gives you a delays-only output.

Don't have one myself though, so you'll need to have a look!

You're correct.
